Amber Pfister

Hi, I’m Amber! Though you probably guessed that already. I’m originally from Bergen op Zoom, but I traded the cosiness of Brabant for the beauty of Gelderland.

I’m a true nature lover, and it’s my life’s mission to support the natural world by using my creativity and strategic mindset.

I’ve got way too many hobbies to count: photography, crochet, embroidery, painting, illustrating, dancing, hiking… and I’m also a big film and series fan.

I’m really looking forward to getting to know you better!

My path - back in time

2025:

Free at last 🕊️ and fully working by and for myself. It feels like a fresh start, and you’ll see that reflected on my socials. The fact that I’ve already been an entrepreneur for five years hardly shows. And that’s okay.

I’m in the lucky position of having the freedom to shape my business the way I want and to choose the clients I truly want to work with.

2022 to 2024:
With trust and good faith, I made a decision that almost meant the end of my business. What followed were three years of financial burdens, stress and the occasional conflict. I felt incredibly foolish.

It affected my mental health, and in those years my personal life was filled with stress as well. When I look back at pictures from that time, I can see I’d lost my spark ✨. I kept my business running on with lowest amount of clients possible, relying on my private income to keep it in a kind of a hibernation. Giving up wasn’t an option.

I worked as a social advertising specialist for a marketing agency, but it felt too focused on numbers and not enough on people. Afterwards, I joined an online casino as a marketer and designer. But with no real affinity for gambling, I never felt fully in place there either. It was nature that gave me peace again.

2020-2021:

It was time to learn as much as possible about entrepreneurship, stand up for nature, graduate, gain clients, register my business and then ✋ slam on the brakes because of Covid. Clients went bankrupt and there was very little demand for young designers. So, I focused on studying from home to come out of this stronger.

I started in online marketing. Very long days for very little pay, but hey, everything for building my future.

To increase my chances of finding a job, I moved from my grandparents’ place in Bergen op Zoom to my own little home in Ede. And then, within three weeks, I moved AGAIN because I found an even better place 🤭.

2018-2019:

One of my internships I was lucky enough to complete at the Dutch military. A unique culture and an unforgettable experience, especially because I got the chance to live on a military base with my fellow interns.

My second internship was with the designers I had previously worked for as a side job, and there I got to experience what it’s like to be a full-time entrepreneur.

During my additional study in entrepreneurship, I learned not to be that shy girl anymore. It really helped that our very first assignment was to raise money for a good cause. That’s when I discovered that selling doesn’t feel bad at all, as long as you truly believe in what you’re offering. It’s a lesson I still apply today.

2016-2018:

I had no idea you could actually make money with creativity. When I discovered the Graphic Lyceum, there was nothing I wanted more than to be accepted and luckily, I got in on the first try.

During my studies I experimented a lot with creativity, not just for school assignments but also through make-up, drawing, and photography.

I didn’t want meaningless part-time jobs anymore. I wanted to get started! With my hopeful young age, I reached out to freelance designers to ask if they needed an assistant. And yes, they let me work with them! My very first real experience.
